Ok boys, I have made the league 28 teams for this month. I emailed a few guys to make up the numbers for 32 and didnt get a response, so we are going with 28. 4 groups of 7 teams as I had to take out on player from the WA group, which was MrGosu!

How to register
- No different to before, you need to register by putting your details into the google spreadsheet we have had for the past 4 months. If your a newbie and you weren't in the other leagues, then you need to send me your email so I can give you access to view it.
- 32 teams will be in the 2 star or less structure. 4 Groups, 8 teams per group and you will play each opponent 4 times in the league. The top 4 teams will go thru into the knockout round. If you dont play your required games by the specified time line (check below) then you will forfeit the match and loose 3-0.
- As each of you register you will be placed into your corresponding group. After each successful registration, the player will go into the next group that is awaiting a player.
- After each game you are required to enter your scores into the zoho results spreadsheet (either one of you i dont care) so if the teams are a draw on points at the end of the group phase, then goal differences will be taken into account. The GM's will be keeping an eye on the results section to see the scores noted are the actual scores
- There will be a time limit of the group stages. There will be more detail to follow as the dates are not concrete
- Finals structure has been updated. There will now be a 2 tie knockout round. with home and away goals determining the player to progress. The playoff format is as follows:
- Round 16 FN 1 – GP A Wnr vs Group D 4th Plc
- Round 16 FN 2 – GP A 2nd Plc vs Group D 3rd Plc
- Round 16 FN 3 – GP D Wnr vs Group A 4th Plc
- Round 16 FN 4 – GP D 2nd Plc vs Group A 3rd Plc
- Round 16 FN 5 – GP B Wnr vs Group C 4th Plc
- Round 16 FN 6 – GP C Wnr vs Group B 4th Plc
- Round 16 FN 7 – GP B 2nd Plc vs Group C 3rd Plc
- Round 16 FN 8 – GP C 2nd Plc vs Group B 3rd Plc
- There are 4 league GMs who will create each of the leagues. They are myself, tonenugen, WiselyBooth (to confirm) and nOObert. They will send you the details or invite in game (if on friends list) to join the league. I am also grouping all the WA players in the same group as the time difference to play EST players was a little difficult.
- If a D/C occurs during a game and the score is 0-0 within the first 30 minutes then an full unranked replay will be played. Anything after that, then just a single half should be played to determine the result. Player discretion should be used in this instance of a replay. i.e. If a game gets d/c at the start of the 2nd half, then only 1 half should be played etc if its a close game. On the other hand, If your loosing 4-0 then dont bother. Either way, its up to the players to decide...
- Forfeits: Well this is an ongoing issue and we are yet to come to a concrete suggestion that everyone approves of. Hopefully we will work something out soon for it.
- There will be no live draw this month as Talaash is MIA. We have though given you a choice of all 2 star teams in the game to choose from which is on google docs under the "Feb Team Listing - 2 Star Max" tab at the bottom of the document. First in best dressed to choose your team as players have chosen them already.
- nOObert set up the results spreadsheet into a Zoho from the last month and we will use this one also this month. This spreadsheet has built in macros/formulas etc that make filling out the results so much easier. We have created this so if there is a tie for 4th place, the person with the better goal difference will go thru. After each game or whenever appropriate you must enter in your scores for the group phase games for this to work. All players are responsible for entering their results, if you cant do it for whatever reason, then let somebody know in the WP thread who has access to the sheets to upload it. If you have a gmail or yahoo account then you dont need to sign up for this, you just enter your details. If you use hotmail etc then you will need to register for it. There are 4 documents for the 4 different groups and they have been added on the blog in the worthy links section. Whim nOObert to get access to Groups A,B & C if you dont have it already and lgaratt for Group D.
I will keep on updating this page and upload it to the worthy links section as an FAQ etc so you all know what is going on

Feb League GM's...
As per usual we have our league GM's for the month. Each person is responsible for the 4 groups, the GM's are:
- Group A - D_Sanchez78
- Group B - Tonenugen
- Group C - lil_dodo
- Group D - nOObert
January League Player of the Month...
The following criteria to receive the accolade was based on group stage performances and the 3 topics of interest were:
- Golden Boot (Most goals scored in Groups)
- Golden Gloves (Least goals conceded in Groups)
- Best Winning Percentage
This month belonged to one of the most fearest teams in FIFA10. An average player stat of over 85, plus the likes of the one man steam train up front with the little magician and french frog alongside him. Yep, this month was all about Barcelona who tore apart B for the majority of the month. Insomniawayne a newbie to the Whirlpool league tore havoc in his group smashing in 104 goals for the month and had the best winning percentage too with 85%. He did however miss out on the Golden Gloves accolade which was actually won in a tie by ME and MrGosu!!!! He is marching on in the finals after the big QTR final showdown against Real Madrid and will play either Rangers or Bordeuax in the semi's!
Very impressive stats for the month. Out of 28 games, 24 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses:
- Golden Boot stats: Insomniawayne - 104 Goals
- Golden Gloves stats: D_Sanchez78 & MrGosu - 19 Goals
- Best Winning Percentage: Insomniawayne - 85%

The boys have spoken and we are going to have a 2 star or less competition this month. This will definitely test your skills and patience as we wont have no powerhouse forwards to run thru an entire team. Now we will get a good indication as to who knows how to play the game...
Registrations... Teams are up
Guys, all of you have registered, the teams are up in the google spreadsheet. You need to choose from the list of teams under the "Feb Team Listing – 2 Star Max" tab, highlight it and place it next to your name to complete rego. If you dont do this, then I will assign one for you! If you haven't registered at all, I suggest you get a move on as half the spots are already gone.

Feb League Regos Open...
Regos for the next month are now open boys... I haven't added the teams in there yet, still working on it so you can do that in the next few days. But the regos are open if you want to join in for the next month. Same deal as before, but if you can enter your state so i can group most of the WA boys in the same group
FIFA 10 Team List?
Anybody know of a site that has a complete listing of teams in FIFA10 with their star ratings? I have searched google back to front with so many word combinations and still found nothing! Trying to get a list of 2 star teams and below so upon registration, you choose your team. First in best dressed

Judgement Day...
Today is the last day to get in your group games boys... Forfeits will be applied Wednesday morning for the games not completed. I have taken a quick look at the zoho sheets after the GM's have highlighted the active/inactive players are there are quite a few of you who are on the chopping block... (except lil_dodo you slacker :P)
I will not update the inactive players games against each other. The only games updated are the ones where the inactives will receive the forfeits against the active players in the league

Group Games cut-off extended
Fellas, I have extended the group games phase a few more days and the new final cut-off to play your games is Tuesday night the 19th of January. If the games are not completed by this date then forfeits will be handed out to the inactive players on Wedneday. If some of the group's have been finalised though (all games played) then I will generate the finals knockout groups but this will be highly unlikely...

Friendly Reminder - 1 week left
Guys, this is just a small reminder that you only have 1 week left to finalise all of your group games. There are a few boys in a few groups that havent played any but that was due to holidays etc that they mentioned in the WP thread. Most are back now or soon so get moving and organise some games, you dont have that long left to complete all of them. If we need to extend it a few days to accomodate the games being played, thats fine but the forfeits will be given for those unactive players.

Champions League Teams - Jan League
Here are the 28 teams so far for the Champions League. Still undecided on the 4 remaining teams as some players have made some waves as to who they should be. I think we should stick to the format no matter their star ratings but I am not fussed. You guys decide but be quick as we need to finalise these today before the live draw takes place tonight.

Player list is now amended to 32 teams with some late inclusions. Each group now has 8 teams per group.
