 Listing of confirmed members so far for the November League

November League...

Ok so with November around the corner we need to organise members for the next month... Was thinking about how to do it and thought the best way would be to give the guys who were in the October league the option to join the league first seeing as though they filled out the rego form. All you guys need to do if your interested in joining the Nov month is whim me, email me at fifa10psnwp@gmail.com or even post in the blog and let me know if your in or out.

For any new members that want to join, they need to email me at fifa10psnwp@gmail.com or whim me their email address to join the league. You will then need to fill out the rego form as the guys did previously. There wont be that many spots so you guys need to be quick and the guys who dont play their 10 games will not be in this months league.

End of the month is nearing and the middle of the table is fairly close. Dr23 obviously has no life and has been playing this game non stop for the past few weeks and is flying out front. (The good old days of being a student!) Looks like one of the top 4 need to knock him off in the finals! The boys highlighted are the ones who are yet to play their 10 game minimum. MND79 and barant82 were late inclusions into the league to fill it up so they excluded from the 10 game rule. Few regs havent played their 10 games either due to connection issues...

Verdict is in...

The WP faithful have spoken... Looks like the majority of us think FIFA10 is some good shit. Could have been better, but on the whole it seems as though we are happy with it (besides some real annoying shit on there!)

November League Ideas?

So what do we want to do next month fellas for the November league? It's only a few days away now so we will need to get some ideas going...

Was thinking of using the poll on the blog to be the deciding factor, so majority rules on this one but need some input as to what we should do?

• 2 Star Maximum, any league?
• 3 Star Maximum, any league?
• 4 Star Maximum, any league?
• International only league, no star restriction?
• Country only league, i.e. English League (EPL, Coca Cola Champ etc), Italian League (Serie A, Serie B etc), Spanish League and so on ... More than likely there will be duplicated teams with the no unique rosters option on the league setup

Any other ideas?

October Rules Reminder...

Heres a little update for the rules of October... these rules still stand seeing the patch has fixed the drop out issue, so if you havent played your required amount of games, BAD LUCK no league invite for you next month

• Number of Games required to play: You must at least complete 10 games in the first October league at any point throughout the month. If you do not complete the required amount of games, you will not be invited into the next month. If however you can see that you cannot make the required amount of games for whatever reason within the month, please let me know so I can organise somebody else to take your place.

• Playoff Structure: At the end of the month the top 4 teams will go into the playoffs. These games will be played outside the league in unranked matches. The structure will be 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. The playoff games must be played immediately after the league has finished and it is up to the discrepancy of the finalists to contact each other. The finalists will also be reminded by updates on the blog and in our FIFA leagues thread on WP so there will be no excuses not to play. If the playoff game is not played within 3 days of the last day of the season, then they will forfeit the match and the winner will go thru to the next round. If you cannot play the game for any reason then you need to contact the other finalist or one of the GM’s to let them know.

League Activity...

Some of you guys need to start making an effort in the league. Most of the regs have been online and playing league games as you can tell by the table so kudos to you guys. A few others have made the effort fully knowing about the online dc issue so they are all good, but there are quite a few of you guys (bottom of the table wise) havent played 1 game or havent even been online at all... I am fully aware of the dc issue but with the current work around of reducing your friends list this could be an option to get yourselves into gear and start being active in the league.

PSN Drop out issue update...

So after countless dc's I bit the bullet and deleted a few guys on my psn list (which I am not happy about) to see if it made any difference to the online problems we were having. I can report though that I actually completed a game for a change. Dont know if it was pure ass or not but it seems it may have made a difference. Communication will be up to sh1t now as I actually like to notify players or not if I am available for a game or not once I receive an invite to play, so if you invite me now and dont hear back, you know why!

I know this has worked for pretty much everyone who was having issues on the EA forums and a few guys in the league also, so if you take the plunge and decide to remove some players you pretty much will be able to play the game without any dc's. Once its resolved, just put them back on....

Looking forward to finally playing a few league games now! :)

League update...

2 of the boys who were initially in the league have pulled out. Masso pulled out due to his poor internet connection and vandozza also pulled out but didnt state why? Anyone who played either of the 2 in the league will have their wins/losses removed. 2 new guys who were on the waiting list have joined though.

Still we are not at capacity with atleast 4 to 5 players yet to join for whatever reason?

PSN Drop out issue resolved soon?

Been a while since I updated the blog, been too busy pulling out my hair over this online garbage! EA have responded to the issue and are working on something atm, so hopefully soon we will hear back from them. This is what they had to say:

Hi everyone,

From the emails I have received from EAC back and forth I can tell you the tech guys have been working round the clock to try and resolve this issue. We know it is very frustrating for all of you as you want to jump straight in and get some good hours in playing FIFA10 but we would ask that you bear with us during these teething difficulties. Hopefully things should be resolved in the next day or so as I believe they have identified the problem causing the disconnects and are now working to create a fix.

Thanks again for your support and understanding.

More thoughts...

Ok so today I actually had a few decent hours at playing this game and I cant say its as good as I initially thought. This PSN issue dropping out out all the time is driving me up the phucking wall, they better hurry up and fix this bullshit bc its a nightmare! Something that Oddy picked up and its 100% true is how the players who are receiving the ball never come forward to get it. 80% of the time if you are passing to a forward who is in front of the defender, the defender will bypass the forward and just take the ball of him... WTF... come to the ball you slapstick!!! You should be able to control the player and bring him to meet the ball, not sit there waiting like a flapping moron at a bus stop! And the replays are a joke at how they stutter...

And the thing that gets me most in this game is the refs and how whistle happy they are. Some of the decisions in this game are absolutely ridiculous and it feels so biased. No form of consistency what so ever!

Did I miss anything? haha
